「大正浪漫」這個詞，是用以形容日本大正時代受歐洲浪漫主義影響下，具個人解放與新時代思潮湧現的種種社會氛圍及現象。
而在臺灣，日治時期被稱為大正町，現為人們所熟知的林森北路夜生活集中地「條通」，由於其特殊的歷史淵源，有著濃厚的日式風情。
本作品從條通的招牌展開探索，五花八門的招牌，新舊同時在街區裡汰換，隨處可見混雜著中英日文三國語言（以上）的文字，其中日本的漢字源自中文、而片假名則對應英文字母，除了中英日文其他國語言如法文、西語也不乏多見，在細小的街道中，多國語言詞彙的形音義排列組合，店招成為一種語言文化融合的象徵。
本作品命名為〈大正浪漫街道〉，藉條通之招牌用字輕窺臺日語言、文化、其思考邏輯異同之興味。本作霓虹燈裝置裡的招牌皆取材自條通內所見真實的店名，將其重新設計，形塑出臺北條通的幻想夜景。

"Taisho Roman" is a term used to describe the social phenomena and atmosphere of the Taisho period in Japan that saw the liberation of the individual and the high tide of ideals, which was influenced by European Romanticism. The area in Taiwan referred to as Taisho-cho in the Japanese colonial period is the present day Linsen North Road, or “Jodori district”, an area known for its bustling nightlife. Due to its unique historical background, a rich Japanese ambiance still lingers in the area today.
This artwork begins with exploring the store signs in the Jodori district, which come in a wide array of styles. From the many coexisting new and old signage, many are multilingual, incorporating the three languages of Chinese, English and Japanese, with the Japanese Kanji adopted from Chinese characters, and Katakana used to transliterate English-origin words. Other languages besides Chinese, English, and Japanese are also quite common, with combinations of multilingual words and phrases observed in the area’s small alleyways, as the signage becomes a symbol of linguistic and cultural fusion. Entitled Taisho Roman Dori, this artwork seeks to catch glimpses of the similarities and differences in the Taiwanese and Japanese languages, cultures, and ways of thinking through the texts on the signage in the Jodori district.

關於條通的店名
名字是認識事物的初始，是一種直接簡單的傳遞，當選定名字的那一刻起，人內心建構的希望及意識及加諸其上。條通這一區的店名特別有意思，除了酒店的區域特性之外，年代更迭、異國文化也在這一區的命名上留下不少痕跡；本作品由條通裡的招牌開始展開探索，並將那些發現紀錄於此。
走訪條通我們挑選了覺得有趣的111個招牌名並將他紀錄下來，經由google翻譯這些含有大量外文名的招牌文字，林林總總的招牌裡隱含了什麼訊息以及其文化意涵，我們將此一小研究製作成一本zine當作大正浪漫街道這件作品的別冊，並於濕地解密展時展出。
